I've completed a line on the Reading Bingo card and am on my way to doing more!!

To be honest, although I'm enjoying doing this on one level, I'm also aware that my obsessive nature is taking hold and making it hard for me to read anything NOT related to the card. Apparently, I'm not able to pace myself and that's affecting what I read and sucking ( Read more... )

So in 2020 I read 78 books that I finished and 8 books that I didn't finish for various reasons. All of this doesn't include any Bible or fanfic reading. Some of the books were novella length and some bigger than normal and I have indicated this in the list below.

Every autumn, hubby goes and collects leaves from an area not far from home (don't worry, there's still plenty of leaves left for the wildlife, it's a big area) and makes a pile in the back border of our garden. This rots down over winter and becomes a lovely pile of leaf mould (aka compost), for use in the garden in the following autumn as a mulch ( Read more... )

Apparently, although my cholestoral is okay, the balance is not as good as it should be between the good and bad stuff, so it's been suggested I eat avocados and/or kidney beans (and porridge, which isn't an issue as I like porridge). I also need to cut salt, due to blood pressure (not dangerously high, but a little higher than they'd like).
